My Approach

I work from both online and face to face platforms, providing a safe, comfortable space for supervision and counselling sessions. My office is located separate to my home and is fully accessible. There is a path, slight incline into the office via a small ramp, wide doors and inside space to move around with ease.

I believe in accepting unique phenomenology beyond deterministic notions of fixed ability and to model behaviour’s that avoid labelling. My sessions create a warm, safe and non-judgmental atmosphere where we can explore together.

Methods Of Approach

Integrative

“Integrative therapy is a unifying approach that brings together physiological, affective, cognitive, contextual and behavioral systems, creating a multi-dimensional relational framework that can be created anew for each individual case” (Gilbert & Orlans, 2011, p. 2).

Person Centered

Person-centered therapy operates on the humanistic belief that the client is inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization; it relies on this force for therapeutic change. The role of the counselor is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration. The therapist attempts to increase the client's self-understanding by reflecting and carefully clarifying questions without offering advice. The therapist functions under the assumption that the client knows themselves best; thus, viable solutions can only come from them.

Creative Therapy

Creative therapies enable you to express yourself in a variety of ways, often without using words, such as through painting, drawing, photography, dance, music or drama.

A creative arts therapist will offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to help you explore what you’re feeling and how that’s reflected in your creations. Through creative materials and activities, they will support you to understand yourself better, help you to process feelings and make positive changes in your life.
